Tokio Marine Kiln appoints new marine leader for APAC

Ampatzis joins TMK from Starr Insurance.

Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) appointed Alexandros Ampatzis as head of Marine for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, effective 1 November.

Ampatzis will report to Jamie Tang, TMK’s Regional Underwriting director for APAC.

Ampatzis, an experienced marine insurance specialist, joined TMK from Starr Insurance, where he was Marine manager for Southeast Asia.

He previously held roles at AXA, including deputy head of Marine Cargo Underwriting in Singapore.

Based in Singapore, Ampatzis will focus on expanding TMK’s presence across APAC, targeting growth in key markets from Australia to the Middle East.

Ampatzis brings over 20 years of industry experience to a rapidly growing team poised for further success in the APAC market.
