discovermarket doubles down on embedded insurance with major wins at Insurance Asia Awards 2025
The company’s pioneering work in embedded insurance has made a growing impact across global markets.
Global insurtech company discovermarket has once again taken centre stage at the Insurance Asia Awards, clinching two distinguished honours: Insurtech Start-up of the Year - Singapore and Insurance Product Innovation of the Year - Singapore. These recognitions reflect the company’s strong momentum across markets and the growing relevance of embedded insurance as a core aspect of the digital customer experience.
discovermarket partners with insurers, brokers, and trusted brands to embed protection directly into customers’ digital journeys, delivering relevant, localised insurance products at the point of need. Its proprietary tech-fuelled platform serves as a one-stop-shop for embedded insurance, enabling everything from building and configuring products, digital distribution, policy management, and claims. Today, it supports partners with access to more than 200 million end-customers globally.
More than just a technology enabler, discovermarket also works closely with brands and insurers to align on strategic goals, focussing on optimising customer experience and delivering real value.
"These awards are a meaningful reflection of the growing demand for embedded insurance done right and the trust our partners place in us. We’re incredibly thankful for this continued recognition,” said Tushar Kulkarni, Chief Operating Officer at discovermarket, whilst receiving the awards.
discovermarket’s wins come at a time when embedded insurance is becoming a business and strategic priority for brands. As digital transactions increase and consumers demand more seamless experiences, there is much opportunity to offer protection that fits naturally into each brand’s unique offerings. Recognising this shift, discovermarket recently released its whitepaper “The Optimum Way to Build Embedded Insurance,” developed with the Open and Embedded Insurance Observatory (OEIO).
The paper offers a practical framework to navigate the embedded insurance space, presenting best practices for brands looking to build and launch their own products. It also highlights that the success of embedded insurance programmes hinges on working with vertically integrated platforms that remove the complexity and risk of building embedded solutions in-house.

Having the ability to simplify a traditionally fragmented process and reinventing how insurance is distributed and accessed is what sets discovermarket apart. Its regional expansion out of Asia and technological innovations were central to its recognition as Insurtech Start-up of the Year - Singapore. The award also reflects discovermarket’s vision of a world where insurance protection is seamlessly integrated into everyday experiences.
One milestone was its Latin America launch in late-2024, where it partnered with one of the largest ticketing companies in Brazil to introduce a fully digital public liability insurance product, underwritten by a global insurer. For the first time, event organisers could secure coverage by answering just two questions via an online portal, eliminating lengthy questionnaires, complex policy comparisons, and simplifying the entire process.
Closer to home, the Insurance Product Innovation of the Year - Singapore award celebrates the company’s partnership with Rently, a Singapore-based proptech player. Through discovermarket’s platform, Rently was able to enhance its Rently Care subscription with complimentary insurance coverage for eligible tenants residing in non-landed homes, underwritten by another renowned insurance partner.
This enhanced Rently Care’s value proposition by automatically providing eligible tenants protection against unforeseen circumstances. The policy includes comprehensive protection on home contents and renovation in case of fire or burst pipes, temporary accommodation if the residence becomes uninhabitable, multi-appliance extended warranty under the highest plan tier, and emergency home care services. It is also available on an opt-in basis for landlords, offering a similar suite of benefits and coverage, tailored for them, at no additional cost when their tenants sign up for Rently Care.
Through this partnership, discovermarket and Rently are able to address recurring issues in Singapore’s rental market and provide a seamless, stress-free renting experience where all parties have assured protection when incidents arise.
That same approach of using embedded insurance to solve real-world issues is also visible across discovermarket’s portfolio in Asia. It has worked with notable brands across hospitality, telco, agriculture, and more to launch relevant and accessible insurance products that close protection gaps whilst enabling brands and insurers to reach new customer segments and unlock new revenue streams.
These awards mark an important milestone in discovermarket’s growth across Asia and beyond. As embedded insurance becomes more integral to today’s digitised world, the company is well-positioned to continue supporting brands and insurers to make protection relevant and delivered where it's needed most.
