Qoala acquires Thai insurtech FairDee

This move expands Qoala's reach in Southeast Asia.

Omnichannel insurtech Qoala has acquired Thai homegrown insurtech FairDee, an announcement read.

This new partnership further expands Qoala’s reach in Southeast Asia, with the insurtech serving Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

This collaboration aims to speed up technology scalability and innovation across all businesses of Qoala, with learnings from Indonesia and Thailand used to strengthen the core competencies and digital offerings across all markets.

With funding from prominent international investors such as Sequoia Capital, Centauri Fund by Kookmin Bank and MDI Ventures, Flourish Ventures, Mirae Asset Management, Central Capital Ventura, MassMutual Ventures and SeedPlus, Qoala is poised to be the largest regional-scale insurtech startup in Southeast Asia in 2021.
