AIA offers 24/7 WeChat doctor access as Mainland care needs rise
The service focuses on care coordination at Grade 3A hospitals across China.
AIA Hong Kong & Macau has launched Family Health MedTeam under its AIA Alta Club, offering round-the-clock medical support for high-net-worth families with healthcare needs in the Chinese Mainland.
The service provides 24/7 access to doctors and nurses through a dedicated WeChat group, covering care coordination at Grade 3A hospitals across the Chinese Mainland.
It is available to eligible AIA Alta Club members in the Solar and Luna tiers and covers up to four family members.
AIA said more than 70% of AIA Alta Club members maintain close ties with the Chinese Mainland and travel there frequently, creating demand for support in navigating cross-boundary healthcare systems.
Family Health MedTeam is designed to help families manage medical consultations, hospital access, and ongoing care across regions.
Each family is assigned a medical team made up of a doctor with experience at a Grade 3A hospital and a registered nurse with nutrition qualifications in the Chinese Mainland.
The team provides general health consultations, specialist referrals, chronic disease management, and follow-up care. Members can activate the service through a dedicated hotline.
The service includes priority access to outpatient and inpatient services at designated Grade 3A hospitals, as well as online consultations with family doctors and specialists.
A health ambassador coordinates appointments, hospital visits, and related arrangements, including medical companions when needed.
Family Health MedTeam also offers customised health check-up plans arranged at designated Grade 3A public hospitals.
Check-up items can be adjusted based on individual needs. For members managing chronic conditions, the service includes regular follow-ups and home delivery of prescribed medication in the Chinese Mainland.
